NAIA now offers faster internet access after system upgrades

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has introduced faster and more reliable internet services, thanks to upgrades implemented by New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), the airport’s new private sector operator. Passengers can now enjoy free Wi-Fi with speeds ranging from 50 to 60 Mbps, with peak speeds reaching up to 115 Mbps.

The upgraded network, branded “NewNAIA,” currently serves around 1,000 users per hour across all airport terminals. As part of the improvements, the free internet access period has been extended from two to three hours, and passengers no longer need to register to connect.

NNIC worked in partnership with PLDT/Smart and Converge to deliver consistent service throughout the airport. “For air travelers, fast and reliable internet connectivity is a must,” NNIC emphasized, highlighting the importance of seamless connectivity for travelers to stay connected and complete essential tasks.

This initiative is part of NNIC’s broader efforts to modernize passenger services at NAIA and meet the evolving expectations of travelers.
