The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has been ranked the eighth worst airport in Asia for queueing times, as per a recent study conducted by Casago, an international vacation rental company.
The study was formulated using data from airlinequality.com, a platform where travelers can rate airport queueing times on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Only airports with 20 or more passenger reviews were considered for the rankings.
Casago explained that the rankings were determined based on “the highest percentage of reviews for airport queuing times with a 4- or 5-star rating.” With an 18.11% rating, NAIA secured the eighth position on the worst airports list. Kuwait International Airport topped this list with an 11.11% score.
On a brighter note, Singapore Changi Airport emerged as the top airport for passenger queuing, boasting a 74.50% rating. The study highlighted Changi Airport’s commendable achievement of being named the ‘World’s Best Airport’ by Skytrax multiple times, despite being one of the world’s busiest airports. The airport’s cleanliness was also notably praised in many passenger reviews.
Other airports that performed well in the study include Cambodia’s Siem Reap International Airport and Japan’s Tokyo Haneda Airport.
