MWO to process contract verification and OEC services at OFW Serbisyo Caravan in Dubai

The Migrant Workers Offices (MWO) in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are taking part in the “Bagong Bayani ng Mundo: OFW Serbisyo Caravan” on August 3, 2025, at Exhibition Hall 8, Dubai World Trade Centre, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, offering key services for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), including contract verification and assistance-to-nationals services.

As part of their onsite support, the MWO will process:

Individual Contract Verification for Balik-Manggagawa (vacationing OFWs)

Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) guidance

Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) services for urgent welfare cases

OFWs returning to the same employer and job site can take advantage of a streamlined contract verification process, which is a prerequisite for OEC issuance. The OEC acts as official exit clearance for OFWs and is required for airport and immigration processing. It also grants exemptions from travel tax and terminal fees.

The contract verification ensures that Filipino workers’ employment terms are fair, legal, and compliant with Philippine labor standards and the host country’s laws. This helps prevent contract substitution and exploitation—offering an added layer of protection for Filipino workers.

MWO reminded attendees to bring two (2) sets of required documents to avoid processing delays. A full list of requirements can be viewed at: https://mwodubai.org/contract-verification/.

The caravan, organized by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and its partner agencies, aims to deliver multi-agency government services under one roof. Also present are OWWA, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, PSA, and DSWD, offering a wide range of assistance from national ID registration to benefit claims and legal aid.

No pre-registration is required. All Filipinos in the UAE are encouraged to attend early and bring necessary documentation for a smoother transaction.
