On July 18, 2024, the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) – Dubai and Northern Emirates Assistance to Nationals (ATN) section commemorated its first anniversary. This milestone marks a year since the responsibility for ATN functions shifted from the Department of Foreign Affairs to the Department of Migrant Workers.
The celebration was attended by Philippine Consulate General ConGen Marford Angeles and DMW Undersecretary Felicitas Q. Bay, who praised MWO-Dubai for its effective management of OFW cases through the ATN section.
During the event, MWO-Dubai also unveiled the ATN First Annual Accomplishment Report, highlighting its key achievements over the past year. These accomplishments include facilitating repatriation, resolving cases through Single Entry Approach interventions, providing financial and legal assistance to distressed OFWs, and partnering with Sara Advocates for legal support.
