The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a warning to motorists across the UAE about poor visibility due to fog formation on Tuesday morning. The weather authority released a red alert, cautioning that horizontal visibility may be reduced until 8:30 AM.
Abu Dhabi Police have also advised drivers to be cautious on the roads and to adhere to the varying speed limits displayed on electronic boards during foggy conditions, Khaleej Times reported.
On Monday, heavy rain and some hail were reported in Wadi Hilo, Sharjah, while the Kalba Shokah Road in the Eastern Region experienced moderate rainfall. Light rain also fell around Shawka-Al Muinai Road in Ras Al Khaimah.
Today, however, the weather is expected to be mostly fair to partly cloudy across the UAE, with temperatures ranging from a high of 48ºC in internal areas to a low of 25ºC in the mountains. Humidity levels are predicted to rise by night and continue into Wednesday morning, potentially leading to more fog or mist, particularly in coastal areas.
Light to moderate winds, occasionally freshening, are forecast, and the sea is expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
