The body of 23-year-old Benjie Acruz, who reportedly fell into a 100-foot ravine in Sitio Santol, Barangay Campo Cuatro, Talisay City, Cebu, was discovered early on November 1, 2024. Acruz, a resident of Barangay Kalunasan in Cebu City and originally from Pinamungajan town, was identified by his driver’s license.
The discovery was made by a group of teenagers who alerted local barangay officials around 4 a.m. Members of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office responded promptly, locating Acruz’s remains near a riverbank.
