In accordance with the directives of UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ninth group of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients arrived in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday for urgent medical treatment. Departing from Al Arish International Airport, the plane carrying 49 patients, accompanied by their families, landed at Abu Dhabi International Airport. They were evacuated under the supervision of a specialized medical team.
This humanitarian effort is part of the Gallant Knight 3 operation, aimed at providing medical treatment for a total of 1,000 wounded children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip in UAE hospitals. Prior to this group’s arrival, UAE hospitals had already received 426 patients, with the UAE field hospital in Gaza having treated a total of 2,644 cases.
In addition to medical assistance, the UAE has dispatched 15,000 tonnes of ongoing food aid and established water desalination stations with a daily capacity of 1.2 million gallons, benefiting over 600,000 individuals in Gaza.
