The Sharjah Book Authority has rolled out expanded transport services to help the public travel more easily to the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2025), which takes place from November 5 to 16 at Expo Centre Sharjah.
To serve growing visitor numbers, the authority announced a wider network of buses and marine routes covering Sharjah, Dubai, and Ajman, along with more frequent trips and complimentary connections from key hubs.
Daily shuttle buses will operate from Dubai’s Al Rashidiya Bus Station and the parking area at City Centre Ajman. Each route will run three times a day at 9:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 5:00 pm heading to the Expo Centre, with return trips departing at 12:00 pm, 4:00 pm, and 9:00 pm.
Fairgoers from Dubai can also access the venue via marine transport. The FR5 service will run between Al Ghubaiba Marine Station and Sharjah Aquarium Marine Station. From there, traditional boats will offer free onward rides from Sharjah Aquarium and Al Qasba to the Expo Centre throughout operating hours.
Badr Mohammed Saab, Director of Government Communications at the Sharjah Book Authority, said visitor turnout has been increasing annually, prompting the expanded routes. “SIBF attendance continues to grow each year, and in response, we have expanded transport services with new routes and additional modes of travel to improve access for visitors, and we are working with relevant authorities to ensure a smooth and reliable journey,” he said. Saab also thanked Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority for its “ongoing support,” noting its role in supporting major cultural events.
The authority also detailed the updated weekday, Friday, and weekend schedules for marine services between Sharjah Aquarium and Al Ghubaiba, including morning and evening departures to accommodate both commuters and book fair attendees.
