Dionisia Pacquiao — more fondly known as Mommy Dionisia, mother of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao — has revealed that she and her long-time partner, Michael Yamson, are ready to tie the knot.
In an interview with Bernadette Sembrano posted on YouTube on August 10, the 76-year-old celebrity mom shared that she and Yamson, her boyfriend for around 12 years, already have their wedding rings. When asked if marriage was in their plans, Yamson replied, “Yes, oo naman (of course),” with Mommy Dionisia adding, “May plano kami. Mayroon na ring wedding ring.”
The couple also addressed the 26-year age gap between them, saying they have learned to brush off criticism. “Minsan below the belt at mga grabeng salita pero hindi ko na pinapansin,” Yamson said, dismissing claims that he is only after her money.
Professing his commitment, he told her: “Honey, lagi akong nasa tabi mo, mamahalin ka, aalagaan ka at tatanggapin ang kasungitan mo sa araw-araw.”
Mommy Dionisia, in turn, expressed deep contentment in their relationship. “Ang ating pagsasama ay habangbuhay… Kuntento na ako sa pag-aalaga mo sa akin,” she said.
