A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 1.2 struck the Al Raheeb area in Dibba, Al Fujairah, on Sunday, according to the National Seismic Network of the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The tremor occurred at 10:27 PM at a depth of 5 kilometers.
The NCM confirmed that the earthquake was “slightly” felt by residents, but it had no significant impact on the area. This follows a series of minor quakes in the UAE, including a 2.3 magnitude tremor in Fujairah’s Masafi area on September 1, and a 3.0 magnitude earthquake near the coast of Dibba on August 18.
