The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will be closed on April 17, 2024, due to the extreme weather conditions that have led to flooding and the disruption of transport services. This announcement is in accordance with the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai’s recommendation and the Dubai Government’s advice to activate a remote work system to ensure the safety of all.
Workers affected by this unforeseen closure have been advised of the following rescheduled visit dates:
- Those with confirmed appointments or flights on April 17-18 can visit from April 18 to 25, and on April 19 or 26, between 7:30 am to 2:30 pm or 7:30 am to 11:00 am, respectively.
- Workers set to collect approved contracts must visit on April 18, between 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, or on April 19, between 7:30 am to 11:00 am.
- Workers unable to have their documents verified before their flight should see an authorized representative five days before the worker’s flight back to the UAE or three days before their OEC appointment in the Philippines.
