Kapamilya star Melai Cantiveros has been named the new honorary ambassador for the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO).
The comedian-host shared the news via an Instagram post on Tuesday, featuring photos and a video from her ceremonial appointment.
The event was a family affair, attended by Cantiveros, her husband Jason Francisco, and their children.
In her post, Cantiveros expressed her gratitude, saying, “If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t have been chosen to be the ambassador and ambassadress of KTO. This opportunity is for you. We will show you our happiness here in Korea.”
She also mentioned a recent family emergency and thanked her followers for their prayers, reassuring them that their baby Steya’s health has improved.
Cantiveros, who gained fame after winning “PBB: Double Up” in 2009, recently starred in the movie “Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul,” filmed in South Korea.
Besides her acting projects, she continues to host the morning show “Magandang Buhay” and is preparing for the upcoming season of “Pinoy Big Brother.”
