Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes have generously donated more than 700 relief packs to the GMA Kapuso Foundation to support communities affected by Super Typhoon Carina and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “Balitanghali” on Friday, Marian and her family repacked the relief goods at home before personally delivering them to the GMA Kapuso Foundation warehouse with Dingdong.
Marian shared scenes from the repacking activity on Instagram Stories, showing her son Sixto, household staff, and fashion stylists Melville Sy and Shark Tanael participating in the effort.
Additionally, Dingdong, along with fellow Navy reservists Rocco Nacino and Beatrice Gomez, joined the GMA Kapuso Foundation to deliver relief goods to Carina victims in Marikina City.
On Friday, Heart Evangelista also led the distribution of relief goods at Sto. Niño Elementary School in Marikina.
Various Sparkle stars have volunteered to repack relief goods at the GMA Kapuso Foundation, and proceeds from the recent GMA Gala 2024 are being used to support affected communities.
This week, Metro Manila, Bataan, Bulacan, Batangas, and Cavite were declared under a state of calamity due to heavy rainfall and severe flooding caused by Typhoon Carina and the Habagat.
