Mariah Carey joined her Filipino fans in kicking off the Christmas season early by sharing a link to her hit holiday medley, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” on social media.
“Philippines, it’s time (only for you!! 😉) I hope you’re all safe and well. Let’s celebrate together 🎶🎄,” Carey posted on Saturday.
Despite it being only September, Filipinos are known for their early Christmas preparations, starting as soon as the “ber” months begin. Across the Philippines, Christmas trees are set up, decorations adorn homes, and Carey’s 1994 classic fills the air in malls, restaurants, and even grocery stores.
Carey, aware of the Filipino tradition, embraced the early celebrations, giving her Filipino fans the green light to kick off the holiday season ahead of most of the world.
