A new nationwide survey shows President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. facing his sharpest ratings drop since the start of WR Numero Uno’s tracking in December 2023. The firm’s latest Opinion Monitor, conducted from November 21 to 28, found only 21% of 1,412 respondents satisfied with his performance.
The decline represents a 14-point fall from August 2025, marking what WR Numero Uno described as his “steepest decline since February 2025.” At the same time, public dissatisfaction surged to 47%—a 15-point increase and the president’s highest disapproval level since the monitoring began. Another 32% were unsure how to rate him.
Younger Filipinos were the most critical, with 64% of those aged 30 and below registering dissatisfaction. Filipinos aged 31 to 59 were evenly divided, while 41% of respondents aged 60 and above expressed approval. Regionally, Mindanao showed the strongest disapproval at 66%, followed by 48% in the Visayas, 42% in Metro Manila, and 39% in the Rest of Luzon. The highest satisfaction levels appeared in the Rest of Luzon at 28% and Metro Manila at 27%, while 39% of Visayan respondents remained undecided.
The findings were released as the administration confronts renewed scrutiny over the flood corruption scandal, with former congressman Zaldy Co recently linking Marcos to the controversy—claims that Malacañang has rejected.
In contrast, the vice president’s numbers showed little movement. Sara Duterte registered a 43% satisfaction rating, slipping only four points from her August figure of 47%. Dissatisfaction inched up to 23%, and 34% of respondents said they had yet to form an opinion.
Duterte continued to draw stronger support from younger and middle-aged respondents, with 47% approval among those 30 and below and 44% among those aged 31 to 59. Among seniors aged 60 and above, 32% expressed dissatisfaction.
Mindanao remained her strongest base, where 75% of respondents were satisfied with her performance. Approval rates were lower in the Visayas at 49%, and at 30% each in Metro Manila and the Rest of Luzon. Disapproval was highest in the Rest of Luzon at 30% and in Metro Manila at 28%.
