President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s trust rating rose significantly to 48% in June 2025, up 10 points from the 38% recorded in May, according to a new national survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS).
The poll, conducted from June 25 to 29 and commissioned by the Stratbase Group, reflects a shift in public perception after months of gradual decline. Marcos had consistently scored below 50% in the previous quarters, with June’s numbers marking his highest since January 2025.
The data also shows a dip in the percentage of respondents expressing “little trust” in the president, down to 30% in June from 40% in May.
According to the SWS chart, Marcos’ “much trust” rating peaked at 64% in July 2024, steadily dropping over the months to a low of 38% in May 2025 before recovering in June. The June 2025 figures show 21% of Filipinos remain undecided about him.
Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte maintained a steady trust rating at 61%, while Senate President Chiz Escudero gained public favor, rising 8 points to 55%. House Speaker Martin Romualdez also saw a boost, increasing his trust rating from 26% in May to 34% in June.
