President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed all national government agencies and state universities and colleges (SUCs) to incorporate the “Bagong Pilipinas Hymn and Pledge” into their weekly flag ceremonies. This directive aims to “further instill the principles of the Bagong Pilipinas brand of governance and leadership among Filipinos.”
According to Memorandum Circular No. 52, the order supports the administration’s vision of a principled, accountable, and dependable government. It underscores the importance of unified institutions and inclusive participation in social and economic transformation.
“All national government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned or -controlled corporations (GOCCs) and educational institutions such as SUCs, are hereby directed and encouraged to integrate the recital of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn and Pledge in the conduct of weekly flag ceremonies,” the memorandum states.
The heads of these institutions are tasked with ensuring that the hymn and pledge are properly disseminated and observed within their respective offices and agencies. This initiative, as outlined in the memorandum, is part of a broader effort to reinforce the administration’s brand of governance and leadership.
