Marcos inaugurates OFW AKSYON Center in Makati to boost services for migrant workers

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the inauguration of the One-Stop Overseas Filipino Workers Agarang Kalinga at Saklolo para sa mga OFW na Nangangailangan (AKSYON) Center in Makati City on Tuesday, emphasizing its role in his administration’s vision for a Bagong Pilipinas.

The OFW AKSYON Center is the 23rd facility nationwide and the fifth in Metro Manila. It is designed to assist overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in southern Metro Manila by streamlining access to essential documents and employment services.

President Marcos highlighted that the initiative, along with the government’s eGov PH App launched in 2023, reflects the government’s commitment to providing efficient and compassionate services to OFWs.

“Hindi lamang ito pagbuo ng mga gusali o paggawa ng mobile application. Ito ay simbolo ng ating hangarin na magkaroon ng Bagong Pilipinas,” President Marcos said.

He reassured migrant workers that the government remains steadfast in advocating for their welfare, adding that the AKSYON Center symbolizes the nation’s enduring support for OFWs.

The new facility will also house additional offices of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), serving as an annex to its current headquarters in Mandaluyong City.
