Filipino vocalist Marcelito Pomoy was among the performers at a New Year’s Eve gathering hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on December 31.
Pomoy confirmed the appearance through social media, where he shared photographs taken at the private event, including images with Trump and with First Lady Melania Trump.
During the program, Pomoy delivered a rendition of the song “The Prayer,” a piece closely associated with his dual-voice performance style.
The singer first gained national attention in the Philippines after winning the second season of Pilipinas Got Talent in 2011, which aired on ABS-CBN.
His international profile expanded years later following a 2018 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where his vocal range drew global attention.
Pomoy later competed in America’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2020.
