This year’s World Travel Awards Ceremony was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on December 1. The World Travel Awards, often referred to as the Oscars of the travel industry, is a renowned London-based organization established in 1993. It aims to recognize and celebrate excellence in the global travel and tourism sectors across national, regional, and global categories.
The Philippines as a whole also continued to shine in the travel industry, retaining its 2022 accolades as the World’s Leading Dive Destination and Beach Destination. These titles underscore the country’s diverse and appealing travel offerings, from its rich marine life to its stunning coastal landscapes.
Earlier in the year, Manila garnered further attention when it was named the “most loving city in the world” by the website Crossword Solver in February.
