Manila poised to become a global playground city, says hospitality consultancy

Manila has the potential to evolve into a top-tier global playground city, attracting affluent travelers and high-net-worth individuals, according to Thailand-based hospitality consultancy firm C9 Hotelworks.

C9 Hotelworks managing director Bill Barnett emphasized the capital’s strategic location, diverse entertainment offerings, and growing luxury real estate sector as key factors driving its transformation.

“Manila’s regional accessibility, diverse entertainment options, and rich lifestyle offerings make it a prime candidate for the growing demand in luxury residences,” Barnett said.

Global playground cities are destinations known for world-class hospitality, high-end real estate, and exclusive leisure experiences. These cities cater to wealthy individuals seeking luxury living and tourism, positioning them as international hubs for investment and lifestyle.

C9 Hotelworks noted that branded residences are becoming an integral part of the Philippines’ hospitality landscape. International brands such as The Ascott Ltd. have been at the forefront of developing luxury residential properties, catering to the increasing demand for high-end serviced living.
