Man stabbed to death in Laguna after dispute over P2,000 debt

A man was fatally stabbed in the chest while standing by the roadside in Pagsanjan, Laguna. The suspect reportedly attacked the victim over an unpaid debt of P2,000.

According to a report on Saksi, a video showed the suspect and the victim talking with another person along the road in Barangay Sampaloc. Moments later, the suspect suddenly stabbed the victim, who was identified as a collector for a small town lottery (STL).

The suspect fled the scene, while the victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities later arrested the suspect, who claimed he confronted the victim about the debt. Instead of settling it, the victim allegedly cursed at him, prompting the attack.

The suspect is now facing a murder charge.
