MediaQuest has dismissed circulating rumors that Willie Revillame’s show, Wil To Win, will only run until December 2024, labeling the reports as “malicious” and “false.”
On Friday afternoon, August 16, 2024, MediaQuest, the parent company of TV5, issued a statement refuting the claims, emphasizing their satisfaction with the show’s performance. The statement highlighted the celebration of the show’s first-month anniversary on August 15, 2024.
“Contrary to malicious and false reports, MQuest Ventures and Mr. Willie Revillame’s long-term partnership remains steadfast, committed to spreading happiness and creating winning moments for Filipinos,” the statement read.
During the anniversary celebration, Revillame addressed the rumors, assuring fans that the show would continue. “Huwag kayong mag-alala. Hindi kami papayag na basta-basta mawala ang programang ito,” he stated, expressing his determination to keep the show running.
Revillame also acknowledged his occasional on-air rants, explaining that his outbursts stem from a desire to ensure the show meets high standards. He apologized to those who might have been offended but reiterated that his intentions were focused on improving the program for the viewers.
