Makati City Mayor Abby Binay was recently spotted in Dubai, actively engaging with Filipino community leaders and Philippine government mission officials. Her visit included a meeting with members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Makati Chapter, who were conducting a legal clinic at the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai.
The courtesy visit was warmly received by Consul General Hon. Marford Angeles, Vice Consul Hon. Aleah Gica, and Labor Attaché Atty. John Rio Bautista at the Philippine Consulate General office. During the visit, Filipino Social Club (FilSoc) President Ericson Reyes and Public Relations Officer Ms. Zyra Rey shared insights on the achievements and challenges faced by Overseas Filipinos, highlighting their contributions and aspirations.
Mayor Binay, who is running for a senate seat in the 2025 Philippine elections, was also a surprise guest at the Shukran Festival UAE 2024 on December 1, delighting festival-goers with her presence and underscoring her support for Filipinos abroad.
