The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the license of a moto vlogger after a video showing him standing and dancing on his motorcycle while stopped in traffic spread across social media.
In its statement on Saturday, the LTO stressed that “the incident appeared to have taken place on a public roadway and in full view of other motorists and pedestrians.”
The agency has issued a show cause order, requiring the rider to surrender his license on or before August 20 and to appear for a hearing. According to the LTO, he must explain in writing why he should not be considered “an improper person to operate a motor vehicle,” a violation that carries the maximum penalty of permanent license revocation.
Although the LTO did not publicly identify the moto vlogger, its statement included a screenshot from the account RBabianoTV, where the video was originally posted on Friday. The clip, reportedly filmed near the intersection of Osmeña Highway and Senator Gil J. Puyat Avenue in Makati City, quickly circulated online.
The LTO warned that if the rider fails to comply with the order, the case will proceed based on available evidence.
