LTO suspends driver caught cursing traffic enforcer in viral NAIA road rage video

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has ordered the 90-day suspension of a motorist’s driver’s license following a viral altercation with a traffic enforcer at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia).

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) confirmed the sanction on Friday, saying the LTO issued a show cause order against the motorist while the case undergoes investigation.

In a circulating video online, the driver can be seen defying an enforcer’s instruction to move his vehicle from a restricted area where stopping or waiting is not allowed. The confrontation escalated when the motorist shouted profanities and flashed a middle finger at the enforcer.

“Acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez strongly reminded drivers not to let their tempers flare on the roads,” the DOTr said in a statement, urging motorists to “always practice proper driving behavior and strictly follow traffic laws for the sake of order and safety.”
