First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos emphasized her commitment to defending democracy and ensuring that justice always prevails. In a social media post, she expressed gratitude for being inducted as a regular member of the Philippine Constitution Association (Philconsa), an organization dedicated to upholding the rule of law.
“It’s an honor to join such a distinguished group dedicated to protecting our Constitution and the rule of law. I am humbled to work with these luminaries to safeguard the rights and freedoms of every Filipino,” Marcos said.
Her induction took place during the 63rd anniversary of Philconsa, where she was sworn in by former Chief Justice Reynato Puno. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. also attended the event, commending Philconsa’s vital role in preserving democracy.
Philconsa, founded in 1961, promotes the defense and preservation of the Constitution and aims to foster public interest in the nation’s fundamental law.
