Dubai Customs officers at Dubai International Airport (DXB) recently thwarted a bizarre smuggling attempt by a traveler, uncovering a live snake, a monkey’s hand, a dead bird, eggs wrapped in cotton, and other items believed to be used for sorcery in his luggage. According to a report by Emarat Al Youm, the discovery was made during a meticulous search of the traveler’s suspicious luggage, revealing a shocking array of items packed within a plastic box.
The seizure included not just the live and dead animals but also spells, talismans, and various tools adorned with paper clippings, all purportedly intended for use in sorcery activities. The items were promptly handed over to the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai for further investigation.
Khaled Ahmed, senior manager of Terminal 1 at the Passenger Operations Department, emphasized in a Khaleej Times report the Dubai Customs’ dedication to combating all forms of smuggling.
