A life-size LEGO® replica of the iconic Mercedes-Benz G 500 4×4² is now on display at Dubai Design District (d3) as part of Eid Al Etihad celebrations. Weighing 972 kilograms and constructed using an impressive 445,971 LEGO bricks, the model showcases the famed off-road vehicle’s engineering and design excellence.
Visitors can marvel at the LEGO G-Wagon, which is featured alongside a real G 500 4×4² in a unique exhibition at d3 from November 28 to December 7. The display also includes a collaborative mural of the UAE flag, inviting attendees to build sections of the flag using LEGO bricks to celebrate the UAE’s 53rd National Day.
“The G-Wagon has a special place in the UAE,” said Kristian Imhof, General Manager of LEGO Middle East and Africa. “This life-size model is a perfect tribute to Eid Al Etihad, combining engineering, creativity, and national pride.”
The partnership between LEGO Middle East, Mercedes-Benz, and d3 emphasizes creativity and collaboration. Michael Stroband, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East, noted, “The G-Class is not just a vehicle; it is an icon that embodies luxury, performance, and adventure—values that resonate deeply with our brand and the UAE customers.”
Visitors can explore the exhibition area outside Buildings 9 and 10 at d3, which also features a mural of the G-Wagon’s history in the UAE. Additionally, fans of LEGO’s Technic range can purchase Mercedes-Benz-themed sets, including the Technic Mercedes-Benz G 500 Professional Line set.
The LEGO G-Wagon, built by a team of master builders over 2,285 hours, is a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship behind the project. “It’s an artwork in its own right, which must be experienced in person,” Imhof added.
This masterpiece follows LEGO’s tradition of showcasing life-size models in Dubai, such as the LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 in 2022 and a Guinness World Record-breaking LEGO Formula 1 car earlier this year.
