Former senator and Mamamayang Liberal (ML) Representative Leila de Lima was honored with the degree of Doctor of Public Administration, Honoris Causa, by Ateneo de Naga University during its 2025 Higher Education Graduation Ceremony. De Lima also delivered the keynote address, urging the graduates to face life’s uncertainties with courage and compassion.
In her stirring commencement speech, she encouraged the new graduates to embrace the road ahead: “Laban lang! Life after college is not a downward slope—it might just be the most electric, most exhilarating part of your story,” she said. “So go. Work hard. Find joy. Stay grounded. Have fun. And always, always be kind and gentle.”
