Lady Gaga, 38, has announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Michael Polansky. The singer shared the exciting news with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In a TikTok video posted by Attal on July 28, Gaga introduced Polansky as “my fiancé” while they attended a swimming event together.
The couple has been together since 2020, first spotted kissing at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas and later making their relationship public during the Super Bowl in Miami. They have been inseparable since, even quarantining together during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“They hunkered down at Gaga’s house and grew close,” a source told PEOPLE.
Polansky has been a constant presence in Gaga’s life, including supporting her at President Joe Biden’s inauguration in January 2021. A source described them as already acting “like a married couple” despite not being in a rush to get engaged.
The couple shares a passion for philanthropy, collaborating on fundraising projects like the One World: Together at Home concert and the Born This Way Foundation.
Gaga and Polansky have frequently been seen together, including attending afterparties and celebrating Gaga’s 38th birthday with friends in Santa Monica.
“She was smiling and laughing all night,” a source noted about the birthday celebration.
Lady Gaga was previously engaged to Christian Carino and Taylor Kinney but ended both engagements. This marks a new chapter in her personal life with Polansky by her side.
