R&B singer Kyla has revealed her heartache over suffering a fifth miscarriage just before Christmas last year. Speaking on “Magandang Buhay,” she shared the ongoing challenges she and her husband, Rich Alvarez, have faced in trying to conceive another child.
“It’s been really hard, especially very recent lang ‘yung sa amin eh. Just before Christmas actually I suffered another one,” Kyla expressed, calling it their “biggest challenge.”
The couple welcomed their first child, Toby, in 2013 but have experienced multiple miscarriages since then, including two in 2018 and one each in 2021 and 2022.
Despite their struggles, Kyla remains grateful. “Kasi at least nabigyan kami ng isa,” she said emotionally, adding that any additional children would be considered a bonus.
Last year, Kyla shared her pain over her fourth miscarriage in an Instagram post, describing it as “unimaginable” and surrendering her hurt to a higher power.
