TV host Kuya Kim Atienza is now recovering after getting into a serious motorcycle accident that could have been fatal.
On March 6, Kuya Kim shared on Facebook that he crashed after a dog suddenly crossed his path while he was riding his motorcycle. The impact of the accident threw him eight feet over the handlebars and onto the pavement, where he heard a loud crack and immediately felt something break.
Luckily, a group of off-duty medics from the Fire Emergency Paramedic Assistance Group Emergency Medical Services Philippines (FEPAG EMS) happened to be nearby and quickly helped him. They brought him to Makati Medical Center, where he received treatment.
Despite the intense crash, Kuya Kim shared that he only suffered broken ribs and was thankful it wasn’t worse. He expressed gratitude to God, the medical team, and his children, Felicia and Emmanuelle, who stayed with him in the hospital.
“Life is good. God is good all the time,” he wrote in his post.
Fans and friends were quick to send their well wishes, relieved that Kuya Kim survived the accident. When asked about the condition of his motorcycle, he assured them that it can still be fixed.
For now, Kuya Kim is resting and focusing on his recovery while staying off work and his motorcycles.
