After spending nearly two months at a private beach, Kris Aquino announced that she will undergo six months of preventive isolation, choosing to stay at her family’s compound in Tarlac as she continues treatment for her autoimmune conditions.
On Instagram, Aquino thanked the owners of the property where she stayed, revealing she has another six-to-eight-hour infusion session in a few days — one of the strongest autoimmune immunosuppressants — alongside her daily medication and injections.
“These will totally wipe out my immunity… I will be in preventive isolation for [six] months,” she said, adding that she will live at the Cojuangco family’s “Alto” compound.
The TV personality explained her decision to keep a low profile, saying she deliberately avoided sharing updates to prevent others from losing hope. “My autoimmune diseases were increasing in number [and] my life-threatening ailments needed me to make a brave choice. Trust me, it’s difficult to accept every night when I sleep that there may be no tomorrow for me,” she admitted.
She also opened up about her sons, sharing that her eldest, Josh, has been staying with a “super loving cousin” after being traumatized by seeing her in a frail condition. Her youngest, Bimb, now 18, remains by her side. “He is heaven’s gift, my optimistic adult who reminds me I should never surrender,” she said.
Aquino’s post drew messages of support from celebrities including Aga Muhlach, Melai Cantiveros, Arnold Clavio, and her impersonator Krissy Achino.
The update comes weeks after Aquino revealed she has been diagnosed with 11 autoimmune diseases and reached her heaviest weight so far at 112 pounds.
