Kris Aquino shares health struggles and isolation, vows to keep fighting for supporters

Beloved TV personality Kris Aquino shared an update on her health, revealing she is currently in isolation due to a decline in her immunity. Despite facing difficult moments, Aquino affirmed she is determined to stay strong for those who continue to support and pray for her recovery.

On Sunday, Aquino posted an image from an operating room and disclosed she underwent an ultrasound-guided PICC line insertion two weeks ago at Makati Medical Center. Expressing her gratitude, she said, “I would like to thank everyone in MMC for their genuine concern for my safety & well-being while confined… MARAMING SALAMAT sa INYO!”

Aquino opened up about the challenges of dealing with six autoimmune conditions, which have led to severe physical and emotional struggles. “There are moments… I ask myself KAYA KO PA BA,” she noted, highlighting the painful symptoms like fever, migraines, and severe joint pain.

Due to her weakened immune system and an allergic reaction to antibiotics, Aquino stated, “What did that mean—wala na kong panlaban sa kahit anong viral or bacterial infection. I’m now in isolation… Yes, it’s lonely,” acknowledging the strict protocols for visits from family and friends.

Despite the setbacks, Aquino emphasized her resolve, “What keeps me going? I REFUSE TO DISAPPOINT ALL THOSE PRAYING FOR ME… Kaya #bawalsumuko #tuloyanglaban,” she wrote, showing appreciation for the support that has touched her heart.

Earlier this month, Aquino shared that she faced a colon cancer scare, a concern intensified by her family history. Her mother, Cory Aquino, was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2008, and her grandmother had also battled the illness.

In addition to health updates, Aquino dispelled rumors about an outdoor wedding but confirmed a new relationship and hinted at an upcoming show set to launch before the end of the year.
