Several days after a quiet Christmas spent with family, Kris Aquino revealed that she had been admitted to the hospital, marking another difficult turn in her ongoing health battle.
In an Instagram Story, the television icon posted a photo taken from her hospital bed. The image also showed her son, Bimby Aquino, lying on a separate bed with a fever patch on his forehead, indicating that he, too, was unwell.
“The Christmas-New Year break has been ‘heartbreaking.’ Kakayanin ko pa ba?” Aquino wrote alongside the post. She followed this with a direct appeal to the public: “Prayers please, I’m sorry for asking again.”
Hours later, a fan page associated with Bimby shared additional details about Aquino’s condition, citing her consent. According to the update, she had returned to the hospital after her blood pressure rose to 215/118. The post stated that she was “stable and under close medical supervision.”
“With permission from Kris Aquino, we are sharing that she is currently back in the hospital after her blood pressure reached 215/118. She is now stable and under close medical supervision,” the page said. It added that Aquino was asking for prayers that her fever would not worsen and noted that she was taking precautions, including wearing two face masks.
Amid the serious updates, a lighter detail was also shared. Aquino reportedly mentioned that new hair growth following severe hair loss had come back wavy and could not be brushed straight, joking that it was “hindi sumusunod.”
Doctors are also monitoring Bimby, who was reported to have a fever along with a sore throat and colds.
Aquino has been open about living with 11 autoimmune diseases and has recently limited her presence on social media to prioritize medical treatment. Despite ongoing symptoms, including what she described as “awful bone pain,” she was still able to attend to personal commitments in recent days, including helping prepare a birthday celebration for fashion designer Michael Leyva and visiting friends while under medical care.
