A Dubai resident was left overwhelmed with gratitude after discovering a handwritten note from an Emirati citizen who witnessed a hit-and-run involving the resident’s parked vehicle. The act of kindness has since touched hearts across the community.
According to Lovin’ Dubai, the incident involved a grey Lexus that hit the right side of the victim’s front bumper before fleeing the scene. However, what could have ended in frustration and confusion took a different turn, thanks to a local who not only saw what happened but took the time to write a detailed note for the victim.
The anonymous note included the offending car’s plate number, model, color, and even the approximate time of the incident. “As an Emirati, I do not appreciate this behaviour,” the note read. “This is how life works in Dubai: zero toleration policy towards injustice.” It was signed off with: “From your brother, Abdelrahman.”
The recipient of the note shared their deep appreciation, telling Lovin’ Dubai, “The driver just left without taking responsibility. But what stood out wasn’t the damage — it was the kindness of the Emirati gentleman who witnessed everything.”
They added that the gesture reminded them why the UAE feels like home, highlighting the culture of “honesty, respect, and sense of community” that locals embody.
“Grateful beyond words,” the resident said.
