Kim Chiu’s portrayal of Juliana Lualhati in the acclaimed series “Linlang” has earned her the prestigious title of Outstanding Asian Star at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2024.
Chiu announced her win on Instagram, expressing her immense joy and gratitude. “I am lost for words… beyond thankful, grateful, and extremely happy!!! I can’t believe this is happening,” she wrote, thanking ABS-CBN and Dreamscape for their trust in her.
Her performance in “Linlang,” where she starred alongside Paulo Avelino and JM de Guzman, garnered significant attention and praise. “My heart is full!!! [heart emoji] MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT PO! KOREA, HERE I COME! Sa SOUTH HA? Hihi,” she added, expressing her excitement for the upcoming awards ceremony.
Chiu’s talent agency also celebrated her victory on social media, highlighting her success in a fan-voted global poll via the Idol Champ app, conducted from June 15 to July 14. Chiu triumphed over five other notable Asian stars, including Thai actors Blue Pongtiwat Tangwancharoen and Poompat Iam-samang, Malaysian actress Emily Chan, Singaporean actor Desmond Tan, and Indonesian actress Ochi Rosdiana.
The Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 ceremony will take place on September 25 at KBS Hall in Seoul, South Korea.
