Kevin’s ‘Hanggang Dulo’ redefines love songs with commitment over butterflies

Kevin doesn’t do halfway love songs anymore. His new single “Hanggang Dulo” doesn’t flirt — it commits. After the mellow nostalgia of “Kamusta Ka Na,” the young singer-songwriter returns sharper, older, and unapologetically sure of what he feels. This time, there’s no guessing game, no maybe’s — just a man who finally knows who and what he wants.

“It’s that point in love na hindi ka na basta nahuhulog — pinipili mo na,” he says. And that conviction echoes through every note of “Hanggang Dulo,” a track built not on heartbreak, but on devotion. It’s the kind of OPM that doesn’t chase virality or vanity; it’s built to last — just like the love it celebrates.

THE MAN WHO CHOSE TO STAY

Hanggang Dulo kwento ’to ng isang lalaking nahanap na niya ’yung taong gusto niyang makasama habang buhay,” Kevin shares. The song’s core message isn’t about falling — it’s about staying. “Hindi na siya ‘kilig’ lang. It’s the kind of love na handang mag-commit, lumaban, at manatili hanggang dulo.”

The lyric “No more doubts, no more fears, with you I see my future clear” captures that emotional turning point — when love stops being a feeling and becomes a choice. “’Yan ’yung pinaka-meaningful para sa ’kin,” he says. “Kapag sigurado ka na sa tao, wala nang takot. Kahit anong pagsubok, kaya mong harapin.”

This isn’t a fantasy. It’s reality — stripped down, mature, and honest.

THE SOUND OF CONNECTION

Behind the song’s clean mix and warm guitars is a family — The Box Records crew that’s been with Kevin from the start. “The whole team talaga,” he says. “Si Sir Mark taught me how to make music that’s honest, not just maganda pakinggan. Si Alex naman, tinulungan ako sa dynamics, harmony, and delivery.”

That mentorship helped shape “Hanggang Dulo” into what it is: an OPM track that sounds both intimate and cinematic. The vocals breathe, the guitars shimmer, and the emotion feels close enough to touch.

“Gusto ko ng balance ng warmth at impact,” Kevin explains. “May organic guitars, emotional vocals, pero clean at modern pa rin.” The result is a love song that sounds timeless — something you’d play at a wedding in 2035 and it would still hit.

FROM A LINE TO A LIFETIME

It started with one phrase: “Handa na.”
“Bihira ’yung taong kayang sabihin na ready na talaga siya,” Kevin says. “Doon nagsimula ’yung buong kwento.”

The song took about two to three months from concept to master. “Madaling kumanta ng love song,” he admits, “pero mahirap iparamdam na totoo ’yung bawat linya.” That meant rewrites, late-night sessions, and more than a few moments of self-doubt — but the final track carries none of that tension. What came out is smooth, confident, and emotionally steady — like someone who’s already fought the battles and made peace with love.

GROWTH OVER PERFECTION

When asked if he feels pressure to top his first single, Kevin just smiles. “Growth, always,” he says. “’Yung una, nagpakilala ako. Pero eto ’yung Hanggang Dulo — ito na ’yung nagsasabing ‘ito ako.’”

He’s learned that patience is key. “Magandang kanta lumalabas kapag genuine ’yung moment, hindi dahil may deadline.” His journey taught him that being an artist isn’t about chasing charts — it’s about telling stories that hit the heart first.

And his influences reflect that balance: Ben&Ben and Arthur Nery for their raw emotion, Ed Sheeran and John Mayer for their storytelling precision. “Galing nila kumonek sa tao,” Kevin says. “’Yung mga falsetto at riffs nila — dagdag sa sakit, dagdag sa emotion.”

THE REAL-LIFE SOUNDTRACK

“If Hanggang Dulo were a movie,” Kevin says, “it’s the love story after ‘I love you.’
It’s what happens after the confession — the quiet mornings, the fights, the forgiveness, the everyday choice to stay. “Walang iwanan,” he adds.

And the impact of his music is already echoing back to him. “May nagsabi dati na ’yung una kong kanta nagbigay sa kanya ng lakas ng loob umamin sa crush niya,” he recalls with a laugh. “Kung ngayon, may makatapang na magsabi ng ‘I’m ready to stay’ dahil sa kantang ’to — fulfilled na ’ko.”

Outside of music, Kevin channels his creativity into design, photography, and short films — other ways to tell stories, to capture truth visually the same way he does through melody. “Lahat ’yan, parte ng pagkwento,” he says.

And when asked who “Hanggang Dulo” is really for, he doesn’t hesitate: “Para sa taong nagturo sa akin na ang love, hindi kailangang perfect — basta totoo at nananatili. (My girlfriend, Christine.)”

“HANGGANG DULO” — OUT OCTOBER 20

As the final mix fades and silence takes over the studio, Kevin smiles — calm, grounded, grateful.

“Galing ’to sa puso,” he says. “Kung minahal mo na nang totoo, at kaya mong sabihin ‘Ikaw lang, hanggang dulo,’ — para sa ’yo ’tong kanta.”

In a world obsessed with instant, Kevin’s “Hanggang Dulo” reminds us what it means to stay — and how beautiful forever can sound when it’s sung by someone who means it.
