Kathryn Bernardo to be immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has announced that Filipino actress Kathryn Bernardo will soon have her own wax figure, joining the ranks of iconic Filipino personalities honored at the world-famous museum.

“Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is welcoming Kathryn Bernardo! Known as the ‘Phenomenal Box-Office Queen,’ she starred in the FIRST Filipino film to hit 1B pesos globally!” the museum shared in an Instagram post on October 22. The wax figure is set to be unveiled in 2026.

Online, fans flooded the comments with excitement and pride. “So proud of you our queen Kath, you deserved every blessing that comes your way,” one wrote, while another said, “Congratulations, @bernardokath! Well deserved.”

Bernardo’s upcoming wax figure comes on the heels of her record-breaking success in Hello, Love, Again, released in November 2024, which became the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time with ₱1.6 billion worldwide as of February 2025. “Thank you sa lahat ng mga sumusuporta sa movie, sa lahat ng mga kababayan natin. Grabe, parte kayo nito,” she told GMA News during the film’s run.

In 2024, Bernardo also earned international acclaim after receiving the Snow Leopard Rising Star award at the Asian World Film Festival (AWFF). “It feels so surreal to be standing here tonight receiving this award,” she said during her acceptance speech. “I started at the age of 6… 22 years — I am still here pursuing my first love and my passion which is acting. It is such an honor being here representing my fellow Filipinos and my home network ABS-CBN.”

Bernardo now joins fellow Filipinos immortalized at Madame Tussauds, including Miss Universe titleholders Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, Broadway icon Lea Salonga, and actress Anne Curtis.
