A handwritten message dropped into a suggestion box at a Land Transportation Office (LTO) branch has gone viral online — and it’s resonating with thousands of frustrated Filipinos.
The note, written in bold letters on a small piece of paper, simply read: “KAMI NAGBABAYAD!!! DAPAT KAMI NAKA-AIRCON!!!”
A Reddit user posted a photo of the box on October 7, showing the LTO’s logo and a sign that said “DROP YOUR SUGGESTIONS HERE.” The post, uploaded under the “r/pinoy” community, quickly gained traction with over 6,000 upvotes and more than a hundred comments.
In the caption, the uploader wrote “Serbisyo sa tao,” expressing frustration over what he described as the poor treatment of citizens in government offices: “Hanggang kailan tayo magtitiis na lagi tayong pinapahirapan ng mga nasa gobyerno? Ikaw na nagbabayad, ang pangit pa ng serbisyo.”

Many online users agreed with the blunt message, calling it “honest,” “relatable,” and a reflection of the everyday experience at government offices. Some pointed out that while staff often work inside air-conditioned booths, applicants are left to queue outdoors under the heat with only electric fans.
“May point naman ang suggestion niya,” one commenter said, adding that those paying for government services endure long lines and harsh conditions. Another wrote, “Boogsh! Ganyan ang suggestion. Straight to the point!”
Others suggested digital solutions like online appointments to reduce waiting times and crowding in LTO branches.
The LTO, which handles driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, and penalties, has long been one of the most criticized agencies in the country for delays, long queues, and inadequate facilities — a recurring issue that this viral note has once again brought to light.
