TV host KaladKaren, also known as Jervi Li, shared heartwarming moments on Instagram as her longtime British fiancé, Luke Wrightson, proposed to her for the second time.
The surprise proposal, which KaladKaren initially thought was an ordinary prenup photoshoot, took place in their favorite city, London. Wrightson knelt on one knee amid the picturesque scenery, leaving the host-actress overwhelmed with emotion.
“Proposal 2.0!!! 😭😭😭 Heart is full, hand is heavy! 💍 🔜 👰🏻♀️🤵🏼The Wrightsons,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing photos captured by @niceprintphoto. “Luke and I got engaged in the middle of the pandemic, 4 years ago. It was just us two locked down in our apartment and we didn’t even have the chance to have a proper photo shoot until now. I thought it was just an ordinary prenup shoot! Sobrang gulat ko nang muli siyang nag-propose here in our favorite city at may ring upgrade!!!! Huhuhu Worth the wait! You make me the happiest, my love!”
The couple first announced their engagement in 2020 after dating for eight years. KaladKaren recalled that Wrightson’s initial proposal occurred spontaneously on their apartment balcony during the lockdown. They were dressed casually in “pambahay” attire, as the proposal was unplanned.
Next month, KaladKaren and Wrightson will celebrate their 12th anniversary together. KaladKaren is well-known for her impersonations of broadcaster Karen Davila and her advocacy for trans rights in the Philippines.
