Jollibee suspends raffle draws after bizarre ‘fake winner’ names spark uproar

Jollibee has suspended its ongoing Burger Blowout raffle draws after complaints surfaced online regarding suspicious names listed as winners.

The fast food giant addressed the issue on Friday, August 16, confirming that it is already working closely with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to review the matter. The controversy erupted after netizens pointed out unusual winners such as “Alayna Pfannerstill,” “Celestine Gaylord,” “Finn Hackett,” and “Hobby Dynamics” in the third week of the promo.

In its official statement, Jollibee said: “We will be temporarily postponing succeeding raffle draws. Please be assured that this will not affect previously declared legitimate winners, and we remain committed to ensuring that only valid entries are considered for raffle draws.”

The company also reminded customers not to purchase raffle tickets from unauthorized sources, emphasizing that tickets are not meant for sale.
