“Mga 5-6 years ago, yung 3-4 na libo pang 1 linggo na kasama na dun ang gulay, isda, at karne. Ngayon, pamalengke ng isang linggo, 8-10 thousand pesos,” he said.
While acknowledging that his income is above average, the actor admitted that even he finds it difficult to cope with the rising expenses. “Kumikita ako ng mataas sa karaniwan. Pero nalulula na ako sa gastos. Paano pa yung simpleng mamamayan?”
Arcilla’s remarks come amid reports of inflation in the Philippines impacting basic necessities, with many Filipinos struggling to make ends meet. His post resonated with netizens, sparking conversations about the need for solutions to address the increasing cost of living.
“Kala ko ba titino na tayo? Ano na?” Arcilla added, leaving his followers to reflect on the challenges faced by millions of Filipinos today.
