JLT launches search for Dubai’s first ‘Chief Dog Officer’

Dog lovers in Dubai’s Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) are being invited to put their furry companions in the spotlight as the community opens nominations for its first-ever Chief Dog Officer (CDO) — a unique title celebrating JLT’s growing pet-friendly culture.

The winning dog will serve as the official ambassador of the neighbourhood, promoting kindness, cleanliness, and responsible pet ownership in shared public spaces. The chosen CDO will also help welcome new pets to the community, join local gatherings and events, and highlight dog-friendly cafés, walking routes, and businesses across JLT through social media.

Among the rewards awaiting the four-legged winner are a one-year Gold Membership at Noble Veterinary Clinics in JLT, an AED 500 voucher from Pawsome Friends, an AED 200 voucher from Splendour Fields, and special treats from Furchild Pet Nutrition — along with the honour of holding the title for one year.

Dog owners can enter by submitting a photo and a short note explaining why their pet deserves the role at jlt.ae/whats-on/dog-ambassador until November 30. Finalists will be selected through a mix of public voting and evaluation by community partners.

JLT, managed by DMCC, is known for its dedicated dog park and pet-welcoming cafés such as Splendour Fields, Friends Avenue Café, 1762 JLT, Little Bangkok, and LDC Kitchen + Coffee — making it one of Dubai’s most vibrant pet-friendly districts.
