Janine Gutierrez calmly addressed a social media user’s comment accusing her recent calendar photos of being heavily edited.
The actress, recently introduced as Asia Brewery Inc.’s newest calendar girl, responded to the comment on Instagram. The user claimed the photos made her appear slimmer than she did at the calendar launch event.
“Grabe pagkakaedit ah. Napakanipis niya sa mga photo niya [pero] nung launching ang taba niya po. Grabe ang photoshop @asiabrewerofficial,” the user wrote.
Janine replied, explaining the time gap between the photo shoot and the launch event. “We shot the calendar in October and the launch was in December. In those two months, I went to Japan for a film festival, attended Thanksgiving parties, and took a break from strict diet and workouts,” she said.
She added that she embraces her body in its different forms, especially during the holidays, and encouraged the commenter to do the same. “You should too!” Janine wrote.
Asia Brewery Inc. unveiled Janine as its calendar girl earlier this month at Green Sun Hotel, Makati City, featuring her in various swimsuits for its four products: Pacific Sun Hard Iced Tea, Yuzu Highball, SoJu Bomb, and Leon Extra Strong Beer.
Janine expressed her excitement during the launch, calling it “such an honor” to represent the brand.
