Jameson Blake has spoken out following the buzz around viral photos of him holding hands with actress Barbie Forteza, clarifying that there’s no romance brewing between them.
The photos, which were snapped during a fun run event in Pampanga, triggered online chatter after fans spotted the two walking hand-in-hand. Adding fuel to the speculation, Forteza had earlier posted a selfie with Blake on Instagram, praising his effort during the run with the caption: “Soooo proud of you, [Jameson]. First run 16K agad! Super appreciate you for running with me.”
However, in a vlog uploaded by Ogie Diaz on July 4, Blake firmly put the rumors to rest.
“Honestly, we are not together,” Blake said, explaining that the hand-holding moment was purely circumstantial. “The reason why nahuli kami holding hands kasi andaming tao nung nagpa-picture sa kaniya.”
He added that he was only trying to help Forteza through the crowd, describing his actions as “crowd control.” “Inaalalayan ko lang si Barbie,” he said.
Despite the online buzz, the two remain focused on their work. Blake and Forteza are co-stars in the upcoming Netflix movie Kontrabida Academy, which also features big names like Eugene Domingo, Michael De Mesa, Ysabel Ortega, Xyriel Manabat, and Carmina Villarroel.
