Amid lingering speculation linking her to producer and Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez, actress Ivana Alawi took a lie detector test on her vlog to address one of the accusations thrown her way.
In the June 23 video, her sister Mona asked her point-blank, “Ikaw ba ay nanira ng pamilya?” to which Ivana firmly replied, “No.” The test operator gave a thumbs-up, indicating her response was truthful.
“Naging broken family kami,” Ivana said. “So bakit ako maninira ng pamilya ng iba? Hindi ako pinalaking ganon. Sira ulo ka pala e,” she added with visible frustration.
Ivana has kept her silence since social media was flooded in May with a circulating document—allegedly a complaint filed by Benitez’s wife, Dominique “Nikki” Lopez-Benitez—accusing the politician of violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.
Benitez has denied the accusations through his legal counsel. Ivana, meanwhile, has not made a formal statement on the issue but had previously denied any romantic involvement with Benitez in 2024.
During the vlog, she reiterated that she chooses to live a private life, noting, “I don’t share everything to the public.”
