‘It’s Showtime’ hosts celebrate Sofronio Vasquez’s historic victory on ‘The Voice’ US

The hosts of “It’s Showtime” proudly congratulated Sofronio Vasquez, a former “Tawag ng Tanghalan” (TNT) contender, for making history as the first Filipino and Asian to win “The Voice” USA.

During the show’s opening on Wednesday, the hosts cheered for Vasquez, with Ogie Alcasid expressing pride in his achievement. “Your ‘Showtime’ family is so proud of you. Tatak ‘Showtime’ ka,” Alcasid said.

Teddy Corpuz highlighted the inspiration Vasquez brings to other aspiring singers from “TNT,” while Kim Chiu shared her thoughts, saying, “Di man dito sa ‘Showtime’ stage, sa ibang stage sila mapapanalo.”

Karylle, adding a heartfelt message, said, “We love you, Sof!”

Vasquez, who finished as the third runner-up in “Tawag ng Tanghalan” in 2019, has now reached new heights in his career, bringing pride to the Filipino community worldwide.
