Amit Saraf, a 50-year-old Indian expat, has become the ninth person to win the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion twice. Saraf claimed his second $1 million prize with ticket number 2813, purchased on October 8, 2024. He previously won the same amount in January 2021, Khaleej Times reported.
Saraf, an online trader who moved to Dubai from Bangalore after his first win, has also been lucky in other Dubai Duty Free draws. He won a Mercedes Benz S500 in February 2023 and a Dh40,000 gift card during the 40th anniversary promotion in December 2023. He has been participating in the Dubai Duty Free promotions for over eight years.
“You literally saved my life,” Saraf said, thanking Dubai Duty Free for his success.
In the Finest Surprise draw, George Mathew, an Indian national in the UAE, won a Mercedes Benz S500, and Tarek Haddad, a Lebanese resident of Dubai, won an Aprilia Tuono V4 motorbike. Both winners purchased their tickets online in September.
